Bring an empty stomach and definitely get the corned beef hash.
They infact do have gift cards
Breakfast was amazing and best coffee around.
Fantastic, couldn't be better
Great breakfast server could have refilled coffee.
Come very hungry. Great flavors, portions and price. The wait is so worthy.
I gave them 4 stars just because the homefries was cold everything else very good..
Probably the gold standard for steak and eggs. Great homemade hash, pancakes and french toast.
Good service and great food! Wonderful people
Great to be able to eat breakfast out again. They have made good use of outdoor space.
We were staying in Worcester for only a few days. My son recommended Lou Roc's for a good place to get breakfast. It was actually a GREAT place to get breakfast, styled after a train dining car. It was Friday morning around 1030 and every table was full, I took that as a good sign. The staff was really moving, so it only took a few minutes before we were seated. They took our drink order and had the drinks out in a hurry. We both ordered the big breakfast which was around $9 and came with eggs, home fries, bacon and sausage, toast and your choice of pancakes or French toast. The portion sizes were very generous and the food was delicious. The service was great and we never had to wait for a refill. I would highly recommend a stop at Lou Roc's if you are ever in the Worcester area. They also have lunch and homemade ice-cream shakes.
It is family owned, which we always adore, and small, cozy, and at almost in the middle of nowhere. The main dining area has the traditional round ceiling, long counter seats, and a few booth seating. The customers were more on the older, retiree type, seemed like all locals, who knew the waitress well. Very warm atmosphere, and we were welcomed with a big smile. So, we were super excited about the food here, I mean, REALLY excited. Why else would someone (me) who is totally NOT the morning person gets up before dawn in order to get there around 6am??? And, I am happy to report, they totally lived up to my expectation. Everything was so delicious! As any "old-fashion" diner would be, they are cash only. Overall, we had a wonderful experience there. Very friendly service, generous portion at low price, and super delicious food. Read my full review of this restaurant and diner on my food blog, foodlovergirl.
Good service. Big portions and reasonable. We went on a week day so much less crowded than on weekends.
I heard this place was awesome from a friend who grew up in the area. She recommended the corned beef hash, which the staff at Lou Roc's thought best as part of the Irish Breakfast. It was a ton of food but so good. There are long lines for tables, but if you're there alone or in a pair, the bar seats move fast and give you a good view of the bustling diner. Can't wait to come back!
Excellent food and really liked the outdoor dining.
Good food/ flavor. Only thing is they only take cash but so have an atm inside but you have to pay the fee. Service is good coffee is average prices are good and portions are sufficient. Overall good breakfast spot. Will return
Oh my god what a breakfast if you’re ever out that way stop in there for breakfast great staff great food
Amazing portions of great breakfast food. I had the veggie breakfast quesadilla and it was massive. Their egg scrambles are good too and just as large and filling. No frills classic diner environment and friendly service. There can be a wait on weekend mornings but its worth it (we sat at the counter for quicker service).
Though sometimes a long wait, the food at Lou Roc's is always top notch. I've never walked out of the restaurant hungry, no matter what meal I choose. It's a weekend favorite in the Worcester area, and someplace we'll continue to go to breakfast. The wait staff is generally attentive. I've only sat at the counter once, and while it was a generally pleasant experience, the booths a d tables are a much better experience especially with a party of more than two.Keep up the great experience, and I'll keep coming back.
I have been there before and loved it. Choosing to go on Easter Sunday was a mistake , food was soggy , my mistake Other days would have been better. Service is always good though.
Fresh fast home style food you can count on!
Always a favorite! Lou Roc's Rocks as one of our favorite breakfast establishments! Just like stepping back into a diner from the 50s with automobile theme, pictures and signage on the walls. Long serving bar with many booths and tables provide a great cosy atmosphere. The only thing missing is the gang from happy days! The friendly service with smiles and large portions of excellently prepared servings will keep you coming back; making Lou Roc's your first choice of breakfast or lunch.
Food and service are amazing and the prices are even better. Their specials are always fun to try. Best breakfast in Worcester!
A hidden gem thats worth the wait. Its a small diner but the food is worth every penny. i had the Pastrami and swiss on Texas toast and my wife had the home made corned beef hash with stuffed pancakes with sausage.... the sandwich just melted in my mouth and the French frieds where addictive. the hash was nicely prepared and fresh...... this place is definitely a must try so come early becouse it fills up quick.
Huge portion! Classic diner, with regulars that have been here for decades. Delicious and great value. Specials on weekends! I like their raisin toast! Friendly hosts and waitresses. Cash only!
Awesome American Breakfast diner! The portion is outrageously big for one person! I love the home fries, Irish Benedict is delicious! Grilled English muffins were done in perfection, they were both pressed grilled and slathered with tons of butter!! Little sausage links were yummy too!!! Everything is sooo good there! The wait wasn't too long for the day I went!
One of few diners that is thriving. This place is awesome and gives you a classic hometown diner feel even if you aren't from the area.
Quick service and food is always good!
Food is very affordable and comes in large amount. Highly recommend!!!
Good portions and breakfast food options, but as noted by others - very poor service, with lots of attitude. Have never walked out of a restaurant with out tipping 20% or higher, but just couldn’t leave a dime as it was that bad. So unfortunate ...
Wow I cant beleive I have driven by this place so often and never stopped by. When I walkwd in there was already a line still at 10am for breakfast. Its worth the wait. The portions are huge. My favorite was the french toast stuffed with bacon and cheese. The next best dish for me was the homemade cornbeef hash...yum. I left there with enough food for another whole breakfast for the next day at home. I promised the wife to bring her for the stuffed french toast. Can't wait to go back. By the way, it is CASH ONLY.
Simply fantastic. This is how a diner is supposed to be. We showed up with six people, and it's a small place, but they had us seated in less than 5 minutes. Our food came out within 10 of ordering. It was all great. The hash browns are exactly the way they should be. Crusty outside, but not burnt, with soft and fully cooked potatoes throughout. The coffee was really good too. Not the usual either watery or burnt kind. It was just right. We also tried the pasta, French toast, pancakes, fries, and rye toast. All fantastic. Expect to leave with the "fat and happies", because the portions are solid too. It's cash only, but there's an ATM in the entrance.
Once seated I received very prompt service from a smiling professional waitress which was a great start. After getting coffee served, I placed my order which was a steak and veggie omelette special. I must say when it arrived it was a very large portion. The omelette was delicious and cooked to perfection. The home fries were were tasty and well seasoned.
Breakfast at the end of the rainbow. Quality and quantity abound. Three egg omelettes are stuffed w fresh fillings of ur choice. Home fries heaped high. Service is incredibly fast and friendly. Note: Cash only. Atm inside does not take credit card w chip. Poor oversight of long line allows some to saunter in ahead even past seniors - honor system Fail.
Ate breakfast here twice last week while visiting family. Ordered the exact same thing as it was so good: Irish Benedict with homemade corn beef hash (with my muffin on the side with jam). The portions are huge so I took home half the hash and had breakfast the next day. I want to try their raisin toast as it looked so good —next time.
The food is always phenomenal and as others have said, the portions are very generous. Seating on the porch can be rather drafty in the colder months, so I would suggest bundling up if the place seems busy. Sometimes the wait can be long but for me it has always been worth it. Staff is friendly and attentive and prices are reasonable; the only change I'd make is the cash only policy.
Best place ever! Love the bacon cheddar homefries!
Always a great time here, food is delicious and people are great!!
This place has really good breakfast and large portions and the italian bread toast is the best
Fantastic! It was our first time, we will definitely be back! The staff is super friendly, Jody is awesome! Huge portions of amazing food! Great spot!
All you can eat for about $26/person with a paid per item menu available on request. The selection is a bit low compared to other places but the quality is there. Some items like the Kobe Beef, Rib Eye or Short Rib are more but definitely worth it IMO. I always go for the basic and Tom Yum broth but they offer a few.
They have best Pancakes here! We came here for my birthday last weekend. I ordered the blueberry and banana pancakes… soo good!!
Greatest breakfast ever never had a bad one in20 years!!!! Highly recommend this place!!!
Breakfast heaven!! Bring your appetite...giant portions at great prices. Fluffy pancakes, crispy home fries, perfectly poached eggs and the best hash we've ever had. Waitresses were also amazing... very friendly and attentive. Looking forward to coming back soon!
This diner is on a route that I take often and I am sorry I didn't stop and try this place sooner. The space has a tight layout and I found it difficult to find a place for my jacket and small day-pack. The food here is crazy good, everything I have tried here has been delicious. My favorite so far is the hot Italian sausage with scrambled, home fries and toast. They clearly move a lot of product so everything is very fresh and or made onsite. Now about the portions...I am a big guy and can put down a fair bit of food in a sitting, but getting to a clean plate here really feels like an accomplishment. Breakfast came on a large plate , with the dome of food reaching edge to edge all around. I have not yet tried the lunches , but I suspect the theme carries on....... The photo of my Hash and egges was taken after I had been into it for 5 minutes !!
Great little Diner, comfortable, great service, huge portions delicious food, and great price. Really embodies the idea of an american diner.
Update:Decided to get the 2 egg western instead of 3 with hash browns. Excellent done soft the way I asked and hash browns were great. This place is consistent and efficient. 5 stars new pic included.Lou Rocks has been around along time- this place rocks but be prepared to wait on weekends
enormous portions and aggressively good service. went on a Sunday and the line for seating was long, but it moved. food is delicious. our waters and coffees were always full. hostess handled the line well, keeping track of parties as they came up and seating people accordingly.overall a great diner, deserving of it's praise from woomag & others!
Breakfast quesadilla was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. Didn’t even have room for home fries it was so filling. Will definitely come again
Fantastic place with great food portions and quick and friendly staff. Feels super homey and warm. Will definitely be adding Lou Roc’s to my favourite places to go for breakfast. Heads up that the place is CASH ONLY but there is an ATM to withdraw cash by the entrance.
Super surprise--really good food.
Always busy but the food is phenomenal. I love their cornbeef hash wrapper in a pancake: sounds weird but so yummy. Staff are friendly as heck.
